How to heal small cuts on the sides of the lips?

Good morning I have for a few days some cuts on the sides of the lips that make scabs which are then removed and the cut is reformed … in practice they never heal I know it is an angular cheilitis but they recommend pharmacological treatments to which I am against .. . is there something natural to use? They also recommended the propolis that I have been using for a couple of days but it does not seem to give results … they are swollen … thanks

Hi Donatella. Cheilitis is attributable to various causes. Some include physical factors (tics of biting lips, unsuitable dentures, exposure to cold or sun), use of cosmetics with parabens but also contact with certain foods (citrus fruits, spices, coffee , etc.). Others may be of an infectious nature (mycosis, bacterial infections, venereal diseases), linked to the intake of drugs (antibiotics and cortisone) or attributable to deficient states of the immune defenses. As I often recommend, the first thing to do is to start from the inside by strengthening the immune system with phytotherapeutic preparations such as Echinacea , Rosa Canina , Acerola. Ribes Nigrum is also a very good remedy with anti-inflammatory effects. To find relief from this annoying problem, I can recommend applying tea tree cream several times a day (making real compresses). This plant has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, helps prevent infections and promotes healing. You can also use Aloe Vera gel as it fights bacteria and refreshes the red and painful parts. Also, do not forget to always carry out a thorough cleaning and avoid applying creams (if not neutral and without perfumes), cosmetics and alcoholic preparations. Best wishes Roberta Fileccia

Donatella, cheilitis is simply to be amputated due to a lack of some B vitamins including B1, 6 and 12 .. You must undergo a shock treatment with a supplement that contains all the vitamin B complex and then continue with adequate nutrition so as not to bring the body to such an evident deficiency state. Within a week you will notice the improvement. There are also ointments based on B vitamins designed for the purpose for more immediate healing but internal integration is still the most recommended. Kind regards Cinzia Zedda Naturopath – writer expert in iridology and natural nutrition

Hello, the cuts on the sides of the lips indicate a lack of vitamin b certainly! but if these are not well assimilated by her intestine it is almost useless to make a massive reintegration! I invite you to first heal your intestine with a good intestinal treatment based on probiotics to clean the intestine, restore the bacterial flora and allow a good assimilation and then if you still need it then introduce the vitamins b! regards
