During the China Mobile Global Partner Conference,  Xiaomi  presented the 5G version of the Xiaomi  Mi MIX 3 . This new version is equipped with Qualcomm chipset, Snapdragon 855 , and the X50 5G modem, with a maximum download speed of up to 2Gbps. It was also revealed that, in the future, Xiaomi will promote 5G in the field of smart home together with China Mobile . The Chinese giant will also explore opportunities in emerging business areas , such as ultra-high definition 8K VR streaming, 3D holographic video calling, 3D AR street view navigation, video game streaming services, and more.
