Packaging

The laptop is presented inside a small case complete with a handle: inside, in addition to the various documents and discs, a panel protects the screen, also acting as a cover for the keyboard. The power supply is very large , but it develops its volume by gaining space in width, remaining a few centimeters in height.

Design

The special thing about this notebook is its shape: it looks to all intents and purposes a normal laptop. No bumps, chrome areas, effect lights or anything else: outside it looks like a normal notebook. Even opening it, the 17-inch screen is of excellent workmanship , but it is very much in the standards in terms of aesthetics; so the keyboard, the laptop’s only flaw, does not make it easy to type, also due to the short key stroke. Nothing that a little bit of habit can’t solve.

Performance

HP’s laptop is a miniaturization of a Desktop PC: despite the choice to include a processor and a mobile GPU, the combination works so well that it makes you forget you are on top of a notebook . The PC works well both in video editing and in photo editing, and in games (although it takes some time to adjust the video settings of the products in question) it gives its best, also thanks to the integrated software. All this, warming up a little only under stress (and by under stress I mean 10 open programs, streaming software and web pages).

Price

The HP laptop reaches a price of 1600 euros on Amazon, a high figure for those who want a laptop just to write Word documents, but in the norm for those looking for a gaming notebook. Add to this that you are taking a miniaturization job so well done at virtually no cost that you forget, as I have already said, that the HP Omen 17-w102nl Notebook is a gaming PC.
