Microsoft is demonstrating its commitment to transforming Xbox One into a true multiservice platform, which can offer products that are always in line with user requests and thus moving away from the simple definition of a home console. As proof of this, the announcement by the software house has arrived in the last few hours that soon Xbox One will be able to support the use of external devices such as mice and keyboards.
Regarding the announcement in question, Microsoft specifies:
With this new platform-level input support, developers can now create mouse and keyboard support in their games if and how they choose to do so. It is important to note that mouse and keyboard support for games is added title by title, entirely at the discretion of the developers. For all other titles, nothing changes. Mouse and keyboard input are not enabled by default for games. Each development team knows their titles best and we support them in creating the right experience for their games as they see fit, to ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience.
Once the service is up and running, most wired mice and keyboards can be used safely on the console. Furthermore, the first rumors suggest that Razer will put products on the market dedicated specifically to Xbox . The first game to implement the new supports will be Warframe.
