Over the years Corsair has invented all sorts of things as regards the various types of items that it deals with every day, and fortunately the giant of the technological world does not show any signs of stopping as regards the news. The company has in fact recently presented a new mouse, which takes the name of Corsair Saber RGB Pro Wireless , and we had the opportunity to try it in preview in order to share our review with you. Between the classic qualities of Corsair-branded items, and the series that the device has gone to improve with its potential, there is very little to complain about, but let’s find out all the details in the next few lines.
Elegant and professional (but still for gaming)
The Corsair Saber RGB Pro Wireless , as the name suggests, is the evolution of the Corsair Saber RGB Pro , available only in a wired version up to the company’s new hardware update and now available for purchase in the new edition for around € 100 . The product is in excellent shape right away, as usual in a yellow package that recalls the company’s shades, and allows you to quickly access the content to exploit its potential. Apart from the mouse and the usual instructions, we find a USB type A to USB type C cable for charging, obviously with the same connection, and the wireless key. For different functions, in case the user needs a use with less performance but more lasting, there is also Bluetooth. From when you take up the article you realize how the materials used highlight the care that Corsair has responded to for the realization of this article, which is a pleasure to use for several hours of play.
As you immediately notice by paying attention to the design, we are talking about a product difficult to use for left-handers, which has two additional keys only on the left, and offers a rather sober design. The single RGB LED is usually hidden , as it is located where the user holds their hand for use, and consequently it is easy to swap the Corsair Saber RGB Pro Wireless subject of this review with any office item. On the left button we find the writing // SABREWL , and apart from the central button dedicated to PPE there is little else to highlight regarding aesthetics.
The mouse weighs only 97 grams, measures 129 x 70 x 43 mm and it must be specified that the battery is designed to last up to 90 hours in Bluetooth with the RGB off and 60 with the classic connection, but these could go down in the case in which you choose to keep the LEDs active. Once the product is connected, it is possible to take advantage of its functions immediately thanks to the support for plug and play, with the central sensor that allows you to choose up to 5 profiles , with a maximum of 26,000 DPI . Perhaps these are too many and able to please anyone for good or bad, considering also that this is the highest figure for a company mouse.
Great for the high end
Thanks to the Slipstream technology used by Corsair, the mouse offers almost zero latency even with the bluetooth connection, in fact less than 1 ms, when using the wireless communication with the appropriate receiver included. The rough grip allows maximum comfort during use, although the absence of rubber material present in other models can sometimes lead to the product slipping, especially in case of sweaty hands. The Quickstrike buttons stand out in almost any game, and it is almost impressive to see how the potential of the Corsair Saber RGB Pro Wireless we are talking about in this review is almost identical to the wired versions, given the absence of latency.
Thanks to the battery that offers a long life it is difficult to run into problems that see players abandoning games due to the mouse, and even if, as mentioned, support for plug and play is far from absent. Unmissable jewel for all Corsair products is obviously the iCUE software, increasingly used thanks to the company’s updates that have made it much easier to use and efficient. Although this allows the management of many of the company’s devices, in this case it is only necessary to arrange the various profiles and choose the functions of the programmable keys to get the best experience in just a few clicks.
