Why does WhatsApp make us fight?
WhatsApp makes us laugh, inform, love… but, above all, it makes us fight. With the arrival of instant messaging, discussions have also taken on new nuances. There is also a fight on WhatsApp – perhaps more than in other ways – and the reasons are different.
1. The double blue ticks
They have various names. Double check, double check, blue check. But they indicate a single WhatsApp option that has generated thousands of discussions, long faces, offenses, up to real breakups in couple relationships. “You have read the message, but you have not replied. Because?”. How many times have you heard this phrase? Well, if you were good, you managed to avoid the worst. You found the right excuse and the fuse did not light. If not, rest assured. You are just some of the many who have found themselves arguing with their boyfriend / girlfriend and a friend over a message that has been read but unanswered. What to do? Simple, turn off double checking.
2. The roll photos
Not everyone knows this, but when you receive a photo on WhatsApp, it is automatically saved in your phone’s camera roll. Even if you later delete the photo from the WhatsApp application, it remains saved in the phone images. Thus, a “forgotten” photo – or saved by mistake – was the cause of endless quarrels. Yet there is a positive side, as always: you have learned that “uncomfortable” photos must be eliminated.
3. It’s online
You try to call a friend or your partner, and he / she replies that he / she is busy and that he / she will not be able to check the phone for the next two hours. Only a few minutes pass, and on her WhatsApp profile you read “XXX is online”. But how??? Wasn’t he busy? Imagine the consequences for yourself.
4. You haven’t written to me in two hours
This is one of the most controversial aspects of WhatsApp. Since the application has existed, in fact, a sort of “duty” has arisen in making itself heard. In the past, friends used to visit at home, maybe once a week. And that was enough. Not today. If you do not make yourself heard 35 times a day there is a problem, doubts and suspicions arise which, at times, degenerate into a quarrel that scientists and psychologists have not yet given an explanation for.
5. I wrote such a beautiful message, he instead ..
We are talking about another type of duty born with WhatsApp. If you receive a message with many little hearts and smilies, you have to respond with as many smilies and little hearts. If not, away with long faces and bickering. “I have spent so much time writing such a nice message… and he / she replies like that”. There is no escape, maybe you were just busy and didn’t have time to write. It matters little. On WhatsApp, you are guilty.
