WhatsApp has a very interesting feature that allows you to archive chats and hide them from the main application screen.

The problem is that not everyone knows how to see chats stored on WhatsApp , sometimes they really seem to have disappeared!

No problem. In this post, I’ll tell you how to view archived chats and retrieve them in seconds.

See WhatsApp chats stored on iPhone

To view conversations stored on an iPhone device, do the following:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the Chat screen
2. Swipe down (with one swipe)
3. Click on Archived Chats
4. Done! Now you can see all the conversations stored on your WhatsApp account

NB If you want to restore an archived chat, slide your finger to the left on the chat and click on “Extract”. In this way the chat will return to its place and will disappear from the archived chat.

See WhatsApp chats stored on Android

To view conversations archived on an Android device, do the following:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the Chat screen
2. Scroll the list to the bottom
3. Click on Archived Chats
4. Done! Now you can see all the conversations stored on your WhatsApp account

NB If you want to restore an archived chat, slide your finger to the left on the chat and click on “Extract”. Or, send a message using that chat. In this way the conversation will return to its place and will disappear from the archived chats.
