On a diet for the costume fitting? Panic!
The costume test is approaching and apart from the rainy days even the days are warmer.
We start putting on lighter clothes, and discovering little rolls and flaccidity that make us turn up our noses, as well as a waistline for which it is useless to do apnea in front of the mirror, we just seem more idiots.
What to do? In general, in these moments we panic and that of the costume rehearsal is also the period of the do-it-yourself diets, so every diet seems to be the answer to our prayers. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
The worst part is wasting more time on the wrong diet.
So, you need to stay calm and try to be rational instead.
How?

A DIET FOR THE COSTUME TRIAL: WHAT TO DO
- The first thing to do is to understand how much time we can have available to lose weight.
If I have a month, I will have a different approach to having a week before my “debut” at the sea. - After considering a period of time, we try to cancel the “eating” commitments for that period. If we want to go out with friends we’ll do it after dinner, so. In short, we try to commit ourselves to lose weight.
- The third thing is to take into account a time in which to do physical activity. We need to show off a toned physique on the beach, and not just lose weight. In short: we must not look like empty bags. How much time can we devote to physical activity. It is not worth zero. The minimum is 10 minutes, the maximum 30.
- The fourth thing is to consider that after we lose weight, we will still have to follow a maintenance period, and we cannot go back to eating as before.
After writing the times for points one and three on a piece of paper, we can finally choose the right diet.
Clearly, the shorter the time available, the more we need to lower our weight loss expectations. For example, if we only have a week to lose weight, it is useless to try diets that promise to make us lose 10 pounds. It’s a mockery. It is already a lot if we will lose two or three kilos . We learn not to make fun of ourselves.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE DIET FOR THE COSTUME TRIAL
We then come to seek the solution to our problem.
First case. A week to get back in shape.
This is undoubtedly the most desperate case. In this case you can only do one thing, which is a low carbohydrate diet, to be combined with physical activity. So we can try: the 7 day dukan diet or the 1-2-3 diet or the summer ketogenic diet .
For physical activity. Let’s go to youtube and look for HIIT 10 minute workout. We will find videos. Let’s do them.
Second case. About 10 days to get back in shape.
Here we can opt for Dr. Berg’s 9-day diet or the 10-day metabolism diet. If we can dedicate 20 minutes to physical activity we will do two video sessions found on youtube. Otherwise one as in the first case.
Third case . Approximately 15 days to get back in shape.
With two weeks we can make a variant of the famous Plank diet, which however is more precise and includes a maintenance plan. It’s the Thonon diet . Many of my readers, however, found themselves very well with the hard-boiled egg diet (which does not include only eggs, don’t worry). If we have thirty minutes, we do a 10-minute training session and a 20-minute walk session.
