Lose weight with the mind, the diets of faith arrive!

Ok, a premise. If you believe in God, you are very religious and you do not want to joke with the saints, this article is not for you, even if what I will tell you unfortunately exists and it is not my bag. In short, do not read but do not even blame me if you are tempted to peek. Everyone else get ready.
It has been a while since I wanted to talk to you about “conscious eating” , about the psychology behind the diet, about combining correct nutrition with a healthy approach to food, all things that up to a certain point I believe are sacrosanct. I also wrote an article on Raffaele Morelli’s book, and I told the (true) story of hypnosis for weight loss. But here we go a step further. When I said that believing many nonsense about diets is a bit like believing in miracles, I still did not know the diets of faith, such as the PrayFitDiet and above all the diet of those who pray, the Prayer Diet . Diets that promise weight loss thanks to the power of prayer!

diet prayerIn short, if you thought of losing the pounds by lighting a match to some saint, know that there are those who have been praying for a while. For example, Mr. Matthew Anderson, who is not a doctor, is a teacher, but combines weight loss with spiritual growth and makes prayer the “main ingredient” of his diet ( I quote from his site About him) . Among the strong arguments of his book, we find weight loss as a covenant with God. A few years ago the Examiner published an article on using faith as a key to weight loss. In short, everything always revolves around the story of being able to lose weight with the mind, or with willpower to be able to abstain from food and eat less , to be part of support and self-help groups. All things that can work, but throwing it on the religious in my opinion makes the situation worse. If you go back to eating or regain weight what will it mean, that God is angry with you?
A step forward was made by Jimmy Peña, fitness expert and creator of the PrayFit Diet: Jimmy, who has made many stars lose weight, says that losing weight is a matter of faith, which is that if you want to achieve results you have to believe it. In short, here the principles of the Bible are exploited to strengthen the will of those who want to go on a diet: do not give up, come on, you can do it, the same tricks that are also used in the philosophy of success, by the various motivational coaches and so on.
It is clear that the same system can be used to lose weight. The only thing I agree on is that eating right and losing weight are a matter of discipline . But God and Jesus have little to do with it. The zero miracles.
