What are the foods to stimulate the thyroid gland
With the exception of those with thyroid problems, and in particular suffering from functioning disorders such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, normal people who simply want to reactivate their metabolism can try to consume certain foods to stimulate the thyroid.
Why the thyroid gland, you ask me? Well, the thyroid regulates our metabolism.
It is an endocrine gland responsible for the production of two key hormones that regulate body weight.
In short, if we have low levels of thyroid hormones, we risk gaining weight.
Obviously not everyone who complains of a low metabolism has thyroid problems, nor hormonal problems in general.
Those who are not hypothyroid but have low thyroid values, especially as regards the production of T3 (triiodiothyronine) could help themselves through nutrition.
Conversely, those who are hypothyroid or suffer from a form of thyroiditis (see Hashimoto) must instead contact the endocrinologist for hormone therapy. Generally according to the guidelines this involves the administration of the hormone T4 (through levothyroxine) which is then partly converted by the body into T3, the active form.
Those with low but non-pathological thyroid hormone levels have minor symptoms such as a tendency to gain weight, reduced body temperature, constipation and abdominal bloating, fatigue.
Let’s see what are the right foods to stimulate the thyroid gland in case there is no pathology. (
