The McDonald’s diet to lose weight?
Do you want to lose weight? Make yourself a cheeseburger. This is what an American teacher has tried to demonstrate , who has been on a McDonald’s weight loss diet for about three months , experiencing weight loss (and no health problems). I don’t know if you remember the shocking documentary ” Supersize me ” in which the protagonist, who ate a healthy and basically vegetarian diet (his partner was), experimented a diet in various fast food restaurants for the same time, with the foresight to always and only eat fast food and often the Super Size format (or King or other maxi format), subsequently prohibited by consumer associations.
Here, this teacher did the opposite: he ate at McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch and dinner for three months and lost weight. The American science teacher is called  John Cisna , and he teaches biology at Colo-Nesco Community Schools. His hypothesis was to try to eat at McDonald’s for three months in a row at all meals, and then check both his health (less cholesterol, lower triglycerides) and his figure. All while, monitored by his students, a diet of at least two thousand calories(not a low-calorie diet, therefore) and striving to make it varied (not the same menu every day): let’s say that the real effort was only the second. In addition, he had to walk for 45 minutes a day. The basic thesis: it’s not McDonald’s or fast food that makes us fat, but the way we eat and the fact that we don’t move at all. In fact, the students were able to create a varied and healthy diet for him starting from McDonald’s : which meant making him eat creamy yogurt, fruit salad or mcmuffin for breakfast ; for lunch a salad of your choice with two packs of fruit ; for dinner one of the traditional menus , in short, those with sandwiches. They have beenexcluding or limited sweet or carbonated drinks, double portions, fried foods . And so McDonald’s became the protagonist of a diet, and the professor lost the beauty of over fifteen kilos in three months.
