Most people believe they have slow metabolisms, and after reading dozens and dozens of diet books , I don’t think it’s wrong to say that many of us have slow metabolisms. The metabolism is not a machine that can be stopped, but having a slow metabolism means that the body keeps itself alive by spending very little energy, and of course this is possible by putting some of its functions on standby . The hydration of the skin, the strength of the hair and nails, the vitality, the body temperature, the digestive efficiency all become dry branches for a slow metabolism.
How do we know if we have a slow or fast metabolism?Well, the fact that we are not skinny does not necessarily mean that we have a slow metabolism. So this time I will tell you what the signs of a fast metabolism are. If you have the opposite of these “positive symptoms”, you have a slow metabolism nine times out of ten, perhaps stressed by too many diets, by the absence of macronutrients (we have cut carbohydrates for too many years, we have cut fat for too many years), some health problem or, again, a high diet full of polyunsaturated fats and sugars and artificial substances such as emulsifiers, additives, preservatives.

Let’s see how a fast metabolism stands out:

  1. Better digestion: flatter stomach, fewer problems with swelling and burning, regularity in the bathroom of up to two or three times a day.
  2. Better energy, especially in the morning: those with fast metabolisms literally jump out of bed in the morning.
  3. Menstrual regularity, better fertility.
  4. An optimal basal temperature: those with a fast metabolism are not cold, and have a basal temperature of 36.6 / 37 °.
  5. Difficulty gaining weight: if they eat more, those with a fast metabolism… go to the bathroom more.
  6. Good sleep quality.
  7. Tendency to move often, getting up from the chair even just to stretch the legs.
  8. Better concentration and attention.
  9. A wolfish hunger: those with a fast metabolism never fast, tend to eat at regular times and are used to eating whenever they are hungry.
  10. The possibility of eating everything without developing intolerances, annoyances, etc.
  11. The tendency to have more muscles (and to put on them easily) even with little or no physical activity.
    If, when you change your diet or try to increase your metabolism, you do NOT notice at least 4-5 of these signs , including body temperature, better digestion, greater vitality and more restful sleep, then you are not making progress, and you will lose weight. with enormous difficulty.
    If you are on a diet, the opposite symptoms to those mentioned will appear by magic. This is because the fast metabolism is the enemy of any food restriction!
