BahThe famous dietician Cynthia Sass considers them the secret to weight loss : cereal creams and seed puddings are not only an ideal breakfast, but also help to lose weight. The benefits of eating chia porridge or pudding for breakfast (chia pudding) are undeniable. Sense of satiety, fibers (mostly viscous) useful for intestinal regularity, low glycemic load, reduction of the desire for sweets before lunch and in the afternoon, better digestion and improvement of intestinal well-being. So much so that Sass herself (who works for the Mayo Clinic and has written many books on diets: I’ve often talked about it, and in particular she invented Sassy Water) wrote a book on it, Slim Down Now, where he explains that eating chocolate pudding in the morning, legume salad for lunch, and meat and fish protein in the evening, you can quickly lose up to 3-4 pounds in just one week.
The pudding Sass is referring to is a chia pudding , which I eat often and which I also find quite satisfying.

Just take half a cup of milk or vegetable milk (or juice without sugar, plain water is fine too: liquids can be cold or hot), add two level tablespoons of chia seeds, and mix quickly, then wait about ten minutes: the seeds swell, creating a pudding cream, which can be flavored with cocoa, dried figs (this is the case of the pudding mentioned by Sass) or some dates, half a mashed banana, spices such as cinnamon.
But even plain porridge would be perfect for the ideal breakfast of a weight loss regimen.
In this case it is necessary to boil 40 grams of oat flakes in 250 ml of water or milk, then sweeten the cream that is obtained after a few minutes of boiling with a little honey: oats and honey are two prebiotic foods, that is, they help the good intestinal bacterial flora.
Other ideas could be Budwig cream , quinoa pudding (you boil quinoa in milk: it takes longer than oats, but you can prepare it a few days earlier) or buckwheat (you soak the wheat in water , juice or milk until covered for a whole night: blend the next day).
The advantage of these cereal or seed creams is manifold: they satiate, they don’t even reach 250 calories but literally fill like a meal, we can customize them with fruit, spices, honey, cocoa, coconut water, coconut flour or flakes, nuts, flakes of almonds or pieces of dark chocolate to have a different breakfast every day.
