The toxic ingredient in natural supplements

well_supplements-tmagArticleMany people consider natural supplements, those to be clear with a component of plant origin (fucus, garcinia cambogia, green coffee, guarana), as safe alternatives to lose weight, increase metabolism, sports performance or reduce cellulite . Many people, wrongly, believe that the natural supplement is not a full-fledged drug: if the ingredients are of natural origin they won’t hurt, right? This logic is not winning. Hemlock is also of natural origin.
Even the serum of the viper is a 100% natural product, even if of natural origin. A bit like honey. But who among you would ever say that viper serum and honey are similar, just because both are not chemical compounds of industrial origin? There. Even if I risk making a tremendous simplification, let’s learn for a moment to consider that saying “if it’s natural it must do well” is a cliché, and that, speaking of supplements of natural origin, the fact that the main ingredient is the chitosan or the pineapple stem, says absolutely nothing about how the slimming active ingredient is extracted from that pineapple stem or the other ingredients that make up the supplement. And worse still, are we really sure that the natural supplement really has a natural ingredient like the label says

No, because according to this news , the labels are lying. In fact, it seems that many products sold on the internet or in specialized stores, and which fall under the category of natural slimming or physical activity supplements, are actually composed of a chemical substance very similar to amphetamine, called BMPEA (and in general other PEAs, i.e.  substituted phenylethylamines). This substance can have harmful effects on health, in particular it could cause neurological side effects, and would be toxic to the liver. In a couple of news items you find on my blog, it appears that some people who have taken natural supplements to lose weight have had severe liver problems: a girl was scheduled for a liver transplant after only two days of taking natural supplements. Yes, ok, you will tell me, but the controls do not do them? Now, it appears the FDA is aware that many natural supplements on the market contain BMPEA, but they have never published a list of all brands. Some you can see in the photo. Typical sports supplements, with particular reference to thermogenics, may contain these substances, acacia rigidula were also positive for BMPEA.
