Eating less causes you to lose more weight than sports

Today I read articles that reiterated something that seems obvious to me, but evidently it is not. The gym alone does not work miracles when a person eats too much and badly, while eating less leads to weight loss. The New York Times literally yells, ” Okay, don’t panic but exercise won’t make you lose weight ,” saying that while Americans are more active than ever, they still remain obese. A sentence that means very little: they may not be Americans themselves. But why does physical activity not work on its own to lose weight? The reasons are the following:
– our body tries to adapt to the stress of physical activity, so if we always do the same work in the gym we will burn less than we expect

– if we train too much, we run the risk of gaining weight instead of losing weight, as we have seen that happens to those who train for marathons.
– people unknowingly indulge more and eat more when they train.
Furthermore, unfortunately, if there are studies that talk about how physical activity alone is ineffective for losing weight, in children and adults, there are few studies that have focused on specific activities: there are in fact activities that make you lose weight more than others, but most studies focus on aerobic activity . The one that least affects body composition and therefore least affects metabolism.
Try to see the lean mass (muscles) that a person who weights in the gym develops compared to someone who does the same hours of treadmill or zumba.
Come on, let’s be serious. The type of activity one chooses is essential to both improving one’s body composition and, therefore, one’s metabolism.
Furthermore, physical activity associated with the diet gives greater benefits in terms of weight loss than diet alone.
It is clear that if you are eating in a nutshell, physical activity alone may not be enough to make you lose weight. You also need to eat less.
