When is breaking the diet a warning sign
Breaking the diet is something that happens so frequently that it is even contemplated in most diets under the heading “free meal” or “day off”: take a break from the diet and indulge in what you like best for a single meal or in some cases for a whole day, for example on Sunday. But what does it mean, exactly, to go wrong ?
Have you ever thought about it for a moment? If you tend to fail often, if you stop the diet because in the end you know that you are not doing it right, and if you find yourself back to square one too many times, this article is for you.
It is based on the reflections of a dietician specializing in eating disorders, Kylie Mitchell , who recently published an article entitled: “If you can’t stay on a diet, it’s your body asking you to relax”.
According to this dietician, the dieting business prompts people to picture themselves as different , as they often have never been. Which is not to say that if you’ve always been overweight and want to see yourself five sizes smaller that won’t happen, but that it’s just very difficult, kind of like trying to make your foot smaller. If a person who is too tall would never dream of getting shorter somehow, a person who has always been plump and has a very slow metabolism, can lose weight and go against nature at the cost of enormous sacrifices.
But the diet business doesn’t want people to think that. No. With the story of no pain no gain, of if you want you can, etc., focus on the self-control of people.And. In fact, not all of us react to diets in the same way.
