Detox Day Spa water with apple and cinnamon flavor
Not only in summer but also in other months of the year we can savor this special “detox water”, ideal for those who need an incentive to drink a little more water, but also for those who often ask me:Â how can I use the cinnamon?
In fact, cinnamon is a spice with a hypoglycemic action that can be useful for those who have problems with hunger for sweets and have a tendency to accumulate weight. Of course we can use it in desserts, but apart from these preparations, we can also use it in a detox water like this.
Called Day Spa , this water is rich in the antioxidants contained in the skin and pulp of apples.
In fact, apple peel contains ursolic acid , as does rosemary, which has anti-cholesterol effects, increases insulin sensitivity and preserves lean mass, strengthening skeletal mass and favoring the conversion of white adipocytes into brown ones. Its fat-burning effect has also been studied in the definition phase of bodybuilders ( source , source ).
To make this detox water, you need the peel of two Fiji-type apples (or green apples) plus a whole apple (pulp + peel) cut into slices. Put these ingredients in a jug, add a stick of Ceylon cinnamon, pour about a liter and a half of hot water (boiled and then left to cool for about 5 minutes) but not boiling, with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. or a spoonful of lemon juice to promote the release of substances. You can then drink the water during the day, from morning to evening, at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
