Is it better to eat skimmed or whole dairy products?
Personally, every time they ask me the question “but in your opinion, it is better to eat skimmed or whole dairy products”, I always answer the same thing: whole. But today I decided to write an article about it to explain my reasons , obviously without pretending to teach anyone anything or put a point on the matter.
In fact, if we consider the caloric point of view, skimmed dairy products are undoubtedly advantageous for a few reasons : yogurt, ricotta (which is not a dairy product in itself, but we put it in the pile according to common sense), low-fat quark and company are versatile. , and allow us to make tasty sweet and savory recipes and more or less fall within our daily calorie goal.So far we have it: you remove the fat, you reduce the calories. And on the other hand, it is useless to say that those who have problems with lactose and caseins will not ask themselves so much the question of whether to prefer skimmed or whole dairy products, but, at most, whether to prefer them completely delactosed or whether to consume them both delactosized and low in a certain type of casein, such as goat’s milk products. Finally, I will not discuss the quality of milk and dairy products here: from my point of view, local, and not industrial, discourse is always to be preferred, precisely in order to have more safety on the raw material (milk)
Having clarified these assumptions, my answer should be generally understood as a preference between skimmed or whole dairy products: therefore regardless of the type, whether they are industrial etc.
And, I repeat, in my case it is: whole dairy products are better.
On page two I will list the reason for my answer point by point.
