Diet for the obese: things to know if you need to lose a lot of weight
As an obese ex, today I want to focus on an important issue, the diet for obese or severely overweight people. In this article I want to summarize all the things a person with a lot of pounds to lose needs to know to avoid gaining weight and to avoid having some unpleasant weight loss consequences, such as sagging and excess skin, in the most serious way. I take the liberty of saying that these are things that can make a difference , not only because I have experienced them on my skin (personally I have not had excess skin) but because, analyzing the stories of obese or overweight people who have gone on a diet, I I realized that those who:
– did not regain weight
– did not have severe problems with excess skin
they did exactly these things.
For those who know English well, you will find the same things said in this video and in this other video .
So: if you know a person who needs to lose at least 50 or 60 kilos, recommend these things.
FIRST RULE: DON’T LOSE WEIGHT FAST
First, people think that if they have to lose a lot of weight they are allowed to do it quickly.
Like: 10 or 15 kilos in a month. Wrong!
Even in the diet for the obese, it is necessary to have a very slow weight loss . No more than 4 or 5 pounds per month.
The only drawback to dieting properly is that you need to be consistent and motivated for much longer . Who has a lot of weight to lose, would like to see the scales go down immediately , would like to wake up in a new body from one day to the next
There is something called a set point : it is the weight range within which the body is programmed not to go down or go up too much. When we lose weight, the body goes to great lengths to return to its starting set point. The faster the weight loss, the more the body will try to take aggressive measures to return to its set point. Furthermore, the skin loses its elasticity more easily .
I know it is disheartening to see less than five or four kilos after a month of dieting. But this means that more than fifty or sixty kilos have been lost in one year. Anyone who has a lot to lose must be far-sighted.
No quick diets or carbohydrate-free diets.
