Protein bread: where to find it and how to make it at home

Today I’m talking about protein bread, a type of bread useful for reducing the glycemic impact of our meals, and in particular having breakfast without taking in too many sugars. This type of bread can be associated with vegetables, sweet foods, salty foods, and allows us to have more balanced meals, especially if we are not great lovers of proteins in general, and for example we do not often eat meat, fish or legumes. The consequence is that at the end of the day we may have taken too much fat or carbohydrates and too little protein:of these, the optimal “minimum” consumption is 0.8 grams per kilo of body weight in sedentary subjects, while an optimal requirement is around 1 gram, 1 gram and a half per kilo of body weight, if we lead a moderately active life (we work outside, we move often).
And if we are on a low-calorie diet, or we are over 50-60 years old, we must be careful to take a little more protein to maintain lean mass. Finally, protein bread or protein pasta are excellent foods in those people who have problems with insulin resistance or rather high blood sugar values (even not being full-blown diabetes) and do not know how to give up carbohydrates, but they need to reduce them.

Precisely for this reason, protein products have experienced a boom in recent years.
In addition to protein bread, there are protein pasta, protein replacement meals, snacks.
Below I list some good choices of protein bread to eat or cook with preparations, and some recipes to try making it at home.
Nutritional and food value of protein bread: protein bread is a product obtained by mixing wheat flour, legume flour (soybean or lupine), oilseeds such as linseed or hemp or chia, whey protein or casein. There are also gluten-free protein breads , made with hemp flour, flax panel flour, almond or coconut flour.
