Dr. Pomroy is considered the “woman who whispers to metabolism”: she is a true expert and it is on these skills that she wrote both the SuperMetabolic Diet and the Metabolic Revolution Diet. But this time there is something new: those who followed the SuperMetabolism Diet know that the method consisted of dividing the week into three different eating patterns.
The Diet of the Metabolic Revolution immediately appears simpler:a pattern of 3 days is followed for the first part of the week and 4 for the remaining days, or 4 +3 (defined as Part 1 and Part 2). The principle is what in the book is defined as “confusing to lose”: that is to push the body to lose weight by changing the composition of the meals.
Even if we lose weight immediately, the doctor advises not to stop the diet : it takes at least 14 days for the metabolism to completely recover, she explains.
So let’s choose when to do it well, because for two weeks in a row no cheating will be allowed (for example no alcohol and no coffee). Pomroy recommends starting on a Monday, but any day of the week is fine.
Here are the other rules:
– Strengthen the metabolic fire: eat within half an hour of waking up and every 2-4 hours. The meals will be at least 5, for a total of 35 meals per week.
– Drink the right amount of water : that is 30 ml per kilo of body weight – It is necessary to stick to the list of foods in the diet
: no mistakes or replacements for at least 14 days. You have to stick to the list substitutions, if anything. If we don’t like one fruit, we can indulge in another one. Some foods are free: we can eat as much as we want.
– Eating organic: it is necessary to prefer organic food wherever possible. If the liver has to deal with endocrine disruptors, or pesticides, it will not be able to detoxify and help us lose weight. In the book there are even more tips (even beauty tips!) To detoxify the liver. Additives should also be reduced, even in sauces such as mustard or condiments such as vinegar.
– A fast weight loss is not inadvisable:Unlike what many dieticians say, losing a lot of weight in the first few weeks is not a problem for our body.
– Follow the two formulas: in the book there is a formula to calculate your ideal weight, the other to calculate how problematic our metabolism is (and follow the targeted advice for a type A, B or C metabolism).
– A lot of fruit and vegetables: the plan includes a lot of fruit and vegetables, but you can help yourself with centrifuged, for example in the morning or recipes for replacement meals for those who are away from home.
