The Slim Down diet is the challenge that the famous American magazine Shape launches for those who want to lose up to 5 kg in a month.
No drastic regimes, no detox, but a super-balanced diet with the right foods and a maximum calorie cap for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus two snacks.
The Slim Down diet in fact provides that the three main meals are 400 calories each and that the two snacks have a maximum of 150 calories. So this is a 1500 calorie plan to combine with a bodyweight or gym workout, no less than 3 times a week.
But what is the peculiarity of the Slim Down diet?
It is based on antioxidant and draining foods that will dry you out, detoxify you and allow you to lose weight more easily without regaining it. In short, a diet designed to get back in shape and lose pounds and body fat.
Here is the daily pattern that must be repeated for a month and that causes you to lose 5 kg when combined with a physical activity plan.
Therefore suitable for non-sedentary subjects who want to lose the last few pounds or stubborn fat.

SLIM DOWN DIET: – 5 kg. The menu
Breakfast (400 calories).
There are 3 proposals to alternate or to choose from and to combine coffee or tea as you like but without sugar.
- A smoothie based on matcha tea, tea that you can find in herbal medicine or organic.
A teaspoon of matcha tea powder, a cup and a half of unsweetened almond milk (from organic) or soy or oat, or coconut water or skim milk. Two tablespoons of almonds or two tablespoons of almond or peanut butter + a 100 gram banana or 200 grams of pineapple and 5 ice cubes. - A toast with two slices of wholemeal bread (50 gr) spread with 100 grams of avocado blended with 2 walnuts, a hint of molasses or honey and a hint of a teaspoon of cinnamon.
- 1 jar of whole white Greek yogurt with a pound of blueberries or other berries or half a pear, two teaspoons of honey and 30 grams of muesli.
