I don’t know why there is this fashion of listing a hundred or one hundred and one things on all subjects.

Yesterday, after reading yet another American article explaining that there were bizarre ways to lose weight and realizing I already knew them, I said to myself, hey, why don’t you try to list 101 ways to lose weight?
I accepted the challenge with myself and here are 101 ways to lose weight according to three variants: DIET, ACTIVITIES, TRICKS TO LOSE weight. And all in one article. Before you continue reading I can assure you of one thing: I didn’t invent them. These are all things that dieticians and nutritionists recommend.

101 WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT: THE DIET

  1. Choose a diet that is close to your habits and slightly low-calorie
  2. Eliminate unauthorized or unhealthy foods from your pantry
  3. Keep a food diary
  4. Don’t go on a crash diet
  5. Cut out the foods you enjoy the most with healthy alternatives
  6. Do not abuse sweeteners, light foods, industrial products
  7. Replace refined products with good quality whole grain products
  8. And sugar with natural sweeteners like stevia or erythrol
  9. If you want to lose weight right away, abuse exciting substances like tea and coffee (not recommended)
  10. But if you want to lose weight healthily, limit the stimulants
  11. Spice up your foods instead of salting or over-seasoning them
  12. Don’t cut all the fats out of your diet.
  13. And don’t cut all carbohydrates out of your diet if you want to lose weight healthily
  14. If you want to lose weight quickly cut carbohydrates or fats from your diet, but keep an eye on maintenance.
  15. Drink more water.
  16. Don’t skip meals to lose weight.
  17. Do not take purgatives
  18. Eat paying attention to the glycemic index of foods
  19. Chew every food for a long time
  20. Plan your meals in advance so that they are complete with everything
  21. Avoid going out to eat
  22. Eat more early in the day than dinner
  23.  If a food makes you bloated, eliminate it
  24. If you are not convinced of your diet, go to the dietician
  25. Eliminates most of the reasons for stress, especially at the table
  26.  Focus on your plate while you eat
  27. Balance your meals: carbohydrates, proteins and fats at every meal aside from fruit and vegetable snacks.
  28. Supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals if you don’t eat fruit and vegetables.
