Why are you struggling to lose the last few pounds?

Why are you struggling to lose the last few pounds?

Today I’m going to talk to you about the common mistakes you make when trying to lose weight and that take you further and further away from that longed-for and idealized goal of your ideal weight.

Even though it’s been years, I have been the victim of these same behaviors that have led me to a weight stall, to have a slower metabolism and a health increasingly strained by continuous and often reckless diets.

Which is why, despite the constant diets, the balance does not fall as you would like , you are increasingly discouraged, and you make more and more sacrifices to try to lose weight.
Here’s what you do that is NOT right.

THAT’S WHY YOU CAN’T LOSE THE LAST KILOS

  1. THE CALORIC RESTRICTION.
You’ve been told that to lose at least half a pound of weight per week, you need to cut around 500 calories a day. But from what calorie count?
What do you have to cut these 500 calories from?
How do you suppose how many calories you normally consume?
Generally, no one asks this question. The consequence is that you have the first diet that comes your way with 1200 or worse 1000 calories, which after 3-4 weeks will have slowed down your metabolism, making it harder for you to continue to lose weight. .
And making you gain weight again when you return to normal eating.

The solution? Don’t eat less, but burn more. Moving more.

  2. THE FOOD RESTRICTION.
You have heard that gluten is bad for you, and without documenting too much you have decided to eliminate it.
Or you have decided to eliminate all animal proteins and become vegan, but always with a lot of improvisation.
Or you have eliminated a list of foods that you may be sensitive to. Or worse, a whole macronutrient. Carbohydrates.
No carbohydrates for a month! The damages of these do-it-yourself restrictions are numerous: from hormonal problems and thyroid problems, to the progressive increase of stress, up to states of malnutrition that slow down the metabolism, forcing the body to temporarily “shut down” functions to survive.
And nervous hunger, irritability, bloating, slow digestion are unleashed.
  3. IMPATIENCE.
The best results are achieved over the long term, not the short term. Fat is fought over the long term, with minimal calorie restriction and lots of movement, so a serious diet must last no less than six months, it must not be very restrictive, it must be balanced, it must conform to a sporting commitment of some guy.

Fast diets for immediate results cause you to lose water and lean mass. The scale goes down, but your health leaves you a little bit at a time, your body has not improved aesthetically, you are even less toned, your metabolism slows down more and more, so that you will find it harder and harder to lose weight.

  4. THE SAME SOLFA, THAT IS, DIET.
Eating the same things over and over doesn’t help your metabolism.
And in the same way it doesn’t work to always do the same activity. After a while it is better to diversify and change.
Have a varied diet, and in the gym, avoid excess cardio with some exercise with machines or weight lifting.
