Training with elastic bands: that’s why it’s effective

I have already talked about training with elastic bands , or resistance bands, as an easy way to get more results in terms of muscle tone and weight loss, without having to resort to the use of weights.
There are on the net, completely free of charge, many schemes for training with elastic bands: in half an hour you can train the whole body and burn more calories.

Today a report from the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity of the Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC)
confirms what I wrote.

First of all, training with elastic bands is something that everyone can do,
even beginners and those over 60.

In fact, the elastic bands are divided into bands with light resistance, easier to use,
and bands with greater resistance, which imply a greater muscular effort to be able to perform the movements.

The advantages of training with elastic bands

  • The use of bands, preventing you from doing each exercise with the same ease with which you would do it in a free body, involves multiple muscle groups in a single movement. For example, if we wear an elastic band in the middle of the leg and walk in a squat position back and forth, we will get a practical and fast exercise to immediately sculpt the buttocks and firm the inner and outer thighs.
  • The second advantage of elastic bands is their practicality: a set of three different bands, from the lightest to the strongest, is enough to transform your training even at home or wherever we want. There are three elastic bands: we can comfortably carry them around, even when we are traveling, and keep them at home, because they take up zero space.
  • The third advantage of training with elastic bands is that they are designed to train the stabilizer muscles, which are the ones that support the balance of the larger muscles (mobilizers) and support the joints. In fact, these stabilizing muscles contract to stabilize the joints in a static position. In particular, the abdominal muscles perform this function.
Training these muscles leads to a reduction in joint problems, improves balance and helps involve the abdomen in every exercise, even indirectly.
This results in a more toned and flatter stomach.

Band training also has the advantage of being practical and enjoyable, and, as I said right away,
it allows you to train the whole body effectively even in half an hour.

There are actually two types of elastic bands: those that consist of a band, which we can tie around the legs or use so for the arms and those that are closed, where we can put legs or arms. The latter can be more or less wide in circumference, up to narrower ones like mini bands. I have various types: having to choose only two, I recommend a set of three open elastic bands and a set of mini bands.
