The bladder in Chinese medicine: practical advice to help it

It is important to have the urinary tract in great consideration , starting from the acquisition of awareness of their extreme importance at a general physiological level. Not only.

There are visions, such as that of Chinese medicine , which link the organ to a precise  emotional predisposition .

Treat the bladder, or take your life in hand

This musculomembranous organ constitutes the deposit of urine conveyed by the ureters. When the urge to urinate is felt, its walls contract to expel urine through the urethra.

Its walls are made up of three overlapping tunics : one serous, one muscular and one mucous, the obviously innermost one.

If we refer to the Chinese Medicine (TCM) system, the bladder is closely connected to the kidney . These organs together are the real “water system” of the human body.

The bladder energy channel is the longest of all energy channels; it arises at the inner corner of the eye (corner of conjunction between the two eyelids) runs along the cranial vault and reaches the neck where it divides into two branches , the medial and the lateral . The medial branch is at the sides of the column, reaches the sacrum, descends towards the posterior part of the thigh where at the popliteal level it meets the lateral branch; this runs along the back from top to bottom alongside the medial one.

When it reaches the buttock level, it continues on the back of the thigh and joins the medial branch; at this point the canal becomes one again and from the poplite (posterior part of the knee) the canal reaches the lateral part of the foot to end the path to the fifth toe.

They are the parts most connected to vitality. The inner work to strengthen these organs is the orientation towards wisdom , knowledge and the ability to better manage one’s life.

When there is an energetic imbalance, fear and the tendency not to face everyday life take over , avoiding the joy of being in the world
