Spain, the healthiest country in the world also for the diet
According to the Bloomberg Healthiest Country Index , Spain ranks first as the healthiest country in the world.
Cities on a human scale, a calmer and more relaxed pace of life than the Italian one, an economy that compared to the recent crisis is on the rise, and other factors such as life expectancy, drinking water in all inhabited centers, reduction of the rate of obesity, and the reduction of smoking and alcohol, make Spain the ideal country to live in health.
But another factor apparently is the Spanish diet.
Diet that is inspired by the Mediterranean tradition, but with a higher percentage of fat due to the consumption of olive oil, and a reduction in sugars, with less sweets on the table in the daily life of the Spaniards.
But also little bread (toasted, especially for breakfast) and less pasta, rice and baked goods throughout the day.
