She lost 20 kg without counting calories
And if I told you that a woman lost 20 kg without calorie restriction would you believe it?
Yet not only is it true, it is all documented.
We all know how to lose weight: you need to eat less or move a lot, in order to get a calorie deficit that pushes the body to get rid of excess weight.
An apparently very simple thing, but from a practical point of view it presents many problems.
What happens to everyone is that when we cut down on calories, our metabolism goes down.
The effects of a low metabolism are manifold, and not just about a drop in energy. There are also psychological and hormonal implications. We are hungrier because the hormone ghrelin rises, and even if we eat a kilo of vegetables, we do not get full enough because we have low levels of leptin, the hormone that regulates satiety. The mind plays a few hands of its own due to the calorie restriction: one craves particular foods, often fatty and sugary.
Which brings us to the second big problem of calorie restriction. It is not for everyone. It is not a solution for everyone, and above all it is not something to do if you already suffer from eating disorders or nervous hunger.
Controlling yourself is useless. If you binge and then try to regulate yourself and then can’t manage the diet again and start bingeing again, I’ll tell you what to do: give up that diet. This does not mean getting hurt or continuing to eat too much forever, but it does mean knowing each other and doing the wisest thing for the well-being of our body, but also of our mind. And I show it to you with the example of a woman who lost 20 kg without counting calories. Yes, without a diet. ( CONTINUED ON PAGE TWO )
