When we make the decision to assemble a PC we have to evaluate many variables and, once we have chosen the hardware that we are going to mount inside it, we must pay the right attention to a case that contains it safely and that guarantees the right ventilation. Corsair has always been synonymous with quality in the PC world and even the  Carbide Spec-06 RGB mid-tower case seems to reflect this feature. So are you ready to find out in detail what we think about it?

Packaging

The Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB case is contained in a classic recycled cardboard box which, however, thanks to its thickness, offers adequate protection against impacts due to transport. Inside, in addition to the case, we also find an Allen key for fixing the internal components, a spare 3M PAD for the external controller, a set of screws that can be used for mounting the motherboard, hard disk and fans, a set of clamps to organize the wiring of the system and a manual.

Design

The Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB mid-tower case has a classic but at the same time very elegant design ; in addition, the RGB led strip inside, which can be customized thanks to the controller on the back, makes everything more youthful and in step with the times. The front of the case is very linear and has only a vertical slit that allows the colored light produced by the led strip to escape, but by removing it you can easily access the dust filter which, magnetically positioned, is easy to extract and clean.Also on the front we find two USB 3.0 ports, three 3.5 mm inputs to connect headphones and microphone and, of course, the power button. On the back we note the presence of 7 horizontal and two vertical PCI-E inputs that allow the user to mount the video card in the same position (attention, to do this you will need a Riser Card that can be purchased separately). We also find it interesting Corsair’s choice to insert a dust filter on the bottom of the case that adequately protects our power supply and that, if necessary, can be easily removed for cleaning. The tempered glass side is also very beautiful and resistant , which allows you to look at the hardware inside our PC enjoying the light effects created by the RGB led strip.

Performance

The Corsair Carbide SPEC-06 RGB mid-tower case allows the user to place all the internal components in an organized and safe manner, thus allowing excellent ventilation of the entire system . Thanks to an adequate space between the tray and the side panel (3 cm in the lower part which is reduced to about 2 cm in the upper part), with adequate wiring it will be possible to reduce the number of exposed cables, allowing excellent organization of our components. The fans provided inside the case are of good quality and allow excellent ventilation with low noise , proving to be suitable for all those who, at least in an initial phase, do not want to spend any more money to buy more powerful and whimsical ones.
